Hi All,
Thanks for clicking on to my site again. I've updated my gigs until Octoboer just before I go on hoiliday I will make sure I will keep it updated from now till the end of the year.
The very funny Justin Moorhouse has asked me to do some support slots on his UK tour for him. I am delighted to be doing them. I'm a big fan of Justin and it will be great to travel around the country and warm his audience up. Details of the gigs are under 'gigs' section of my website. Also you can buy tickets on Justins website for his tour http://www.justinmoorhouse.com/ I am doing five nights for him with the last one being in November.
I want to wish Sarah King all the best in her future career. Sarah represented myself and Joe Lycett in her time with Qvoice. Sarah has gone on to pastures new now. I now book my live work and if you would like to book me please email me at Hello@andrewryancomedy.com
All the best

Hello,
I have updated my gig list till the middle of October. So have a look and see if you can come and catch a gig.
Firsty Congratulations to Anglea Barnes who was the winner of the BBC New Comedy Award recently she was fantastic in the final and deserved the award.
I recently did a preview of my Edinburgh Show for 2012 'Bemused'. The show went down really well and I was delighted with the people who made the effort to pop down to see it. It gave me great motivation going forward and to kick in to gear and really work hard going forward. I am taking a hoiliday and will not be up in the fringe this year, not even for a couple of days. I had such a good time last year and if I went up I think it would feel like you're at the World Cup but you're injured! Good Luck to everyone and I hope you all have a blast.
Thanks for reading and I hope to see you soon.

It's been quite a busy couple of months of comedy but it's all be a right laugh.
I went over to Belfast and competed in the BBC New Comedy Award heats and had a great time. I progressed to the semi final which is on in Bath on the 10th of June. I will be competing for one of the three places up for grabs to progress to the final. All the other acts are really good so it's going to be a tough one. You can hear highlights of the semi final on BBC Radio 2 at 10pm on Saturday 11th of June.
I have two previews of my Edinburgh 2012 show 'Bemused' coming up. The First one is on in The Didsbury Cricket Club on the 10th of July. Mike Newall will also preview his show. Tickets are £3 on the door and it starts at 8pm.The Kings Arms in Salford on the 26th July is where I will preview it again. Doors 8pm it's £2 on the door. Another couple of acts will be on as well previewing matieral. I really want to make sure that by January 2012 that the show is very strong. Normally previews are starting from March till August of the year you go to Edinburgh. But I suppose you can only be a newcomer once to the Festival and I want to make sure it's a good show.
Keep checking the website for more information.
Bye

Hi
I really enjoy the summer months and I've got a few busy months ahead. Hopefully, I will have more freckles come September. I remember when I was in school in Cork I was always told that the summer time was May, June & July. So my summer starts on Sunday. I know it's different in the UK. Anyway lets not argue over the weather. You've come here to read about whats happening eh?
Well if you live in Manchester get down to the Didsbury Comedy Club on the first Sunday of every month on at The Didsbury Cricket Club. I'm the resident MC and we always have great line ups. Last month we had TV's Alun Cochrane and the lovely Mike Newall on. It was a cracking night and this Sunday coming 1st of May we have another great line up. Tickets can be bought on the door from 7pm show starts at 7.45pm. Tickets are £6.
I will not be appearing at The Edinburgh Festival 2011. Instead, I will be concentrating on my first solo show 'Bemused' which I aim to bring up to the Edinburgh Festival in 2012. I've already written half of it, but it will be a combination of routines I use now and new stuff I'm writing at the moment. I will perform the show at Manchester Comedy Festival in 2011 and Leicester Comedy Festival 2012. I will be previewing the show from July this year as I want to make it a really great show. Keep a look out for dates.
I've been selected to perform in the heats of the BBC New Comedy Award. I will fly to Belfast in May and appear at The Empire Theatre. I'm really happy to have been chosen over 600 people applied with 100 places going. This is a very respected competition and one which I cannot wait to perform in.
All the best

Hello
I've not been on here much in the past couple of months. Life has been good and I've been very busy. I've updated the gig list til July and I will keep it updated as more gigs get added to my calender. So, if you would like to come to a gig, feel free to email me and I will send you more details if you need.
I went over to Dublin in February to perform at The International Comedy Club for three nights. It is without doubt one of the best clubs I've played. No microphone and the audience are packed in, up very close and personal and the Irish are always well up for a laugh. I cannot wait to go back again. The Laugh Inn in Chester is a new 400 seater club I played recently with Dan Nightingale & Tony Law two of my favourite comedians. What a club that is. I had two of the nicest gigs this year and did not want to leave the stage after my twenty minutes was up. I'm back down in Chester a few times over the next six months to MC I can't wait for it.
Joe Lycett and I performed two nights at the Leicester Comedy Festival in February our show 'An hour of Humour' was a great success and the audiences were great. The venue The Crumblin Cookie is run by great people and next year I'm looking to go back and perform my first solo show there.
On the subject of my first Solo show I will be performing my debut show 'Bemused' at various festivals over the next year or so. It will be all in preparation for The Edinburgh Festival 2012. I will be doing new material nights across the north west to prepare for the show. I'm hoping to perform it at The Didsbury Cricket in July 2011 as I'm the resident MC there and it's a cracking venue.
So thanks for visiting the site and do keep coming back.

So 2011 has rolled in to town. I better get used to it quickly. 2010 was a cracking year so I hope 2011 will be just as good. I've got a list of plans and realistic goals to hit by the end of the year but most importantly I want to have loads of fun doing what I'm doing. I'm writing quite a bit at the moment as I plan to have my fist solo show in 2012.
I will keep the website updated as much as I can every week with dates and news so keep coming back and checking the site. If you fancy coming to any gigs or would like more information drop me a email on hello@andrewryancomedy.com
Have a good start to the year. Hope the middle and end of the year are very tough for you tho, very tough like a cold steak sandwich!
Andrew
